Prayers for Gavin

I wanted to ask each of you to lift up Gavin, his mommy and daddy, and all of the medical staff working with him today in prayer. Gavin will be having his final repair (Fontan) for HLHS today. My heart aches for Faith knowing how hard it is to have to kiss your little one and watch them be wheeled off to surgery and to have to sit for hours and hours and wait. I am clinging to this verse today~do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Fun Friday

Grace and I woke up this morning with a spur of the moment idea to go to Krispy Kreme and Starbucks. Okay, okay, it was really my idea, but she enjoyed it just as much :) Oh how I LOVE drivethroughs, we loaded up in our pajamas and off we went. We are going out of town this weekend, so we surprised Grace with some Easter goodies a little early. A special thank you to Grandma Pugh for Grace's bunny, Grams and Pops for our Easter cards and Aunt Erin for Grace's bag and other goodies.

I do want to teach her the true meaning of Easter and that the goodies are just fun things but not what it is all about. I saw these Resurrection Eggs on another website and thought they would be a great tool in helping explain Jesus' death and resurrection. They are geared toward a little older age group though. Do you have other ideas for a 2 or 3 year old? I know there are many more "seasoned" parents and teachers out there full of ideas and advice :)

Air Show and Birthday Fun

Grace and I went home to Tuscaloosa, Alabama this weekend to celebrate my niece's 3rd birthday and to see the Blue Angels air show. We were so thankful to be able to have VIP parking and a place to sit, courtesy of the Tuscaloosa Fire Department (they allowed on-duty firefighter's families to park there and to have reserved seating). I hope your not tired of the montage's because here is another one :) There were way to many pictures taken to just pick a few. Ryan, we missed you SOOOO much (he is still in Illinois working). Fortunately, with being in the Air Force, we will get to see many many more airshows together :)

Happy "early" Birthday Sara Beth

Happy 3rd birthday sweet girl. We are so excited to get to spend your birthday with you. We love you SOOOOO much and can't believe you are already 3. Look at how much you have grown. You and Grace have the best time when you are together and you teach her so much. Below are just some of the fun memories we have had with you and we can't wait to make MANY MANY more.

Cheeeeeese!

We tried taking a few pictures the other morning when Ryan was leaving and well, that is hard to do with a two year old :) However, the the ones below turned out pretty cute.

Grace and I are headed out to my parents to visit, to celebrate my niece's 3rd birthday and to hopefully get to see an air show. I hope to have some fun pictures for everyone when we get back.
